At College Muscle Movers, we work hard to protect your items. However, no matter how many precautions are taken, damage can still occur.
It’s important to understand what happens if an item is damaged during your move. Read this article to learn about moving insurance, valuation coverage, and the plans we offer to help you further protect your belongings.

What are your rates?
Our rates are seasonally dependent and in the case of our Discount Days, can vary by day of the week. Please fill out our simple Request Form to see our full Hourly Rates.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! Certain days of each month, known as Discount Days, are offered at a significantly reduced hourly rate. Discount Days are all Mondays and Tuesdays that do not fall in the first 4 or last 7 days of the month.
We also offer discounts on moving supplies:
- Get 10% off supplies when you spend $50 or more
- Get 15% off supplies when you spend $100 or more
- Get 20% off supplies when you spend $200 or more

Do you Require a deposit?
Yes, we require a deposit to reserve your time on our calendar. The deposit is equal to the hourly minimum (could be 1 or 2 hours depending on the size truck you need) plus a one-time travel fee based on your locations.
The deposit is fully refundable with at least 3 business days notice of cancellation. Within 3 business days of your reservation you may still reschedule your move, subject to our availability, and your deposit will transfer with your new reservation. It becomes non-transferable once we close the day before your reservation because, by that point, we have most likely lost the ability to reschedule a new customer in place of your reservation.
Will the Muscle Movers help disassemble, reassemble or arrange my furniture?
Yes! Our Muscle Movers are knowledgeable in basic disassembly and reassembly, and are able to arrange furniture and place boxes in requested locations.

Do you pack my items into boxes before the move?
Many of our residential customers get help boxing up and staging their items from our partners at Keepsake PCO, who specialize in safely preparing your items for moving. We recommend doing this the day before your move so that our moving team can seamlessly arrive on moving day and begin loading your items without delay. To get a quote for packing in addition to your move, just ask one of our Service Coordinators.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the greater Twin Cities and outlying areas, including western Wisconsin. From our warehouse in St. Paul, MN, we can help you with a local move or interstate move to any destination in the continental U.S.
Do you move outside of Minnesota?
Yes, we do! We are fully licensed and able to help you get anywhere in the continental U.S. Reach out today for a quote on your interstate move.
How do you protect my home and belongings from damage?
Keeping your home and belongings safe is one of our primary goals. All our Muscle Movers undergo extensive training on safe lifting, careful handling through tight spaces, and properly loading and securing items in a truck. In addition, we provide furniture pads and plastic shrink wrap on every move at no additional cost.

What happens if something gets damaged during my move?
We go to great lengths to prevent any damage during each move, but accidents do happen. Minnesota regulations require all moving companies to cover damages at a minimum rate of $0.60 per pound for a damaged item. Because this basic coverage often falls short of an item’s actual value, we offer 5 additional coverage plans. Can the movers make multiple stops?
Yes, we will make as many stops as are needed to complete your moving project. Our only requirement is that the address of each stop is provided to us at the time of booking your reservation. We may not be able to accommodate additional unplanned stops on the day of your move.
What happens if my movers are late or don't show up?
We will never cancel on you, so if your moving team is late just call our office. Unlike other moving companies who overbook their calendar in order to maximize their profits, College Muscle Movers only books services that we are certain we can complete.
Not only will we always show up, we expect our moving teams to arrive on time. We’re so confident in our ability to be there for you when you need us that we have an On-Time Guarantee. If we show up an hour late or more, you get $100 off your bill, no questions asked. Click here to learn more.
Do I need to empty my dresser drawers before moving them?
We strongly recommend that all drawers are emptied before moving. This is particularly true for large dressers. Leaving clothes or other items in the drawers can make an item heavier and more difficult to handle. Please also note that furniture items often need to be tipped or flipped, so contents of drawers may get jumbled up during transit.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are bonded, licensed, and insured. We meet all MNDOT insurance requirements of professional moving companies in Minnesota. You can request a copy of our insurance policies by contacting our office. All Muscle Movers are employees of College Muscle Movers and are covered under our worker compensation insurance.
