Do you charge extra for stairs?
No. Stairs are a normal part of moving and we don’t tack on extra charges for them.
Do I need to make sure there's a parking space for the truck?
If you have a driveway, that’s usually all we need. For street parking, just make sure there’s a clear stretch in front of your home on moving day. If your home has any unusual access considerations, let your Service Coordinator know when you book so we can plan accordingly.
How do you protect my floors and furniture during the move?
Every CMM crew comes equipped with furniture pads and plastic shrink wrap to protect your belongings and the surfaces around them. We also bring dollies and straps — the right equipment makes a real difference when navigating tight spaces or moving heavy pieces.
What happens if something gets damaged during my move?
Every CMM crew pads and wraps furniture before it goes on the truck and uses proper equipment throughout your move to minimize the risk of damage. That said, accidents can happen, and it’s worth understanding how damages are handled before moving day. Minnesota law requires all licensed movers to provide basic valuation coverage at no charge, which pays out $0.60 per pound for a damaged item. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekend moves in summer — those dates fill up fast. If you’re working around a closing date, booking early gives you more flexibility if your timeline shifts. That said, if you’re working with a tight timeline, it’s always worth reaching out to check availability.
