How Our Estimates Work

At College Muscle Movers we strive to provide accurate timing and cost estimates to all of our customers. In order to acheive the degree of accuracy required to schedule specific start times for our customers, we need to have a fairly comprehensive understanding of your needs.

We ask for the addresses of your service locations, a few details about the locations so we can account for stairs, elevators, parking locations, etc., and a full list of the items we will be handling.

This includes an estimated box count, but we don’t need to know the contents of the boxes.

We have a few different ways for you to provide the information we need to make sure we are properly estimating your service.

  • Give us a call at (651) 917-4108 and provide these details to one of our moving consultants.
  • Request that we send you our Estimation Assistant, which is an online form that will prompt you for the information we need, and has a checklist of common items to help you create your moving inventory list.

If you think it will be difficult for you to provide this information because you have more items than you are able to list we would recommend an on-site or video chat estimate so that we can help you with that.

The accuracy of our estimates is directly reflected by the accuracy of the list of items and number of boxes to be moved, and location details like carry distance (short, medium, or long).

Other significant factors include flights of stairs/elevator size and speed, and whether you will want assistance with disassembly and reassembly of furniture during the service for items like the bed frame, attached mirrors, dining tables, or sectional couches.

Once we have all the information we need, our Moving Consultants will enter that information into our Estimation Algorhythm and review the estimate it produces before sending it your way.

If you are not able to provide the information we are asking for please give us a call and we can discuss what options might be available given your needs.
